Peter King
Postdoctoral Research Associate in environmental/ecological economics at the Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds (2023-25).
I am part of Work Package D on the DRUID project investigating (a) production functions to estimate the value of pest regulation provided by insects and (b) non/monetary valuation of the cultural ecosystem services provided by insects. My previous research experience was at the University of Bath (2018-21, PhD) and the University of Kent (2021-23, ERC-project postdoc). My research uses social science survey methods to investigate public preferences with work in roughly three areas: (1) choice models to explain heterogeneity in willingness to pay, (2) spatial and temporal variation in preferences, and (3) causal effects of behavioural/environmental attitudes on survey behaviour.
